What you get
One sheet of US Letter paper ruled the way you chose, with nothing else on it. No name line, no heading, no watermark — ruled paper is a background for your own work, so the page stays out of the way.
The spacing is printed very small at the foot of the sheet. That is there so a reprint months later can be matched to the sheet already in the folder, which is the one thing about graph paper that is genuinely annoying to get wrong.
Rules print light grey rather than black. A grid at full black competes with the pencil on top of it and uses far more ink, which matters on paper people print fifty sheets of at a time.
Getting the spacing right
Metric sizes here are exactly 5 mm and 1 cm. Imperial ones are exact as well: quarter-inch paper is 6.35 mm, not 6 mm, and over the width of a page that difference is clearly visible against a ruler.
If you are matching an exercise book, measure ten squares rather than one and divide — a single square is too short to measure accurately, and being one part in twenty out is enough to make a graph look wrong.
Print at 100%, not "fit to page". Every printer dialog offers to scale, and scaling is what makes 5 mm paper come out at 4.8 mm. It is the single most common reason printed graph paper does not match.
Which ruling to use
Squares are the default for maths, graphs and anything measured. Dots do the same job while disappearing behind the drawing once it is done, which is why bullet journals use them.
Lines are sold by trade name rather than measurement: wide ruled is 8.7 mm, college ruled is 7.1 mm, narrow ruled is 6.35 mm. Each sheet here carries the left margin rule.
Isometric paper is vertical lines crossed by diagonals at thirty degrees, making a field of equilateral triangles. Drawn on it, a cube looks like a cube with no perspective construction at all.

Is this really free?
Yes. Print as many sheets as you like, for yourself, a class or a workplace. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit.
Why does my printed graph paper not match my exercise book?
Almost always because the printer scaled it. Choose 100% or "actual size" rather than "fit to page" in the print dialog. If it still does not match, measure ten squares of the book and divide by ten — the book may not be the size you think it is.
What size is quarter inch graph paper in millimetres?
Exactly 6.35 mm. Paper sold as 6 mm is a different thing, and over the width of a page the two are about 5 mm apart, which is enough to notice.
What is the difference between wide, college and narrow ruled?
The gap between lines. Wide ruled is 8.7 mm and is what primary schools generally use, college ruled is 7.1 mm, and narrow ruled is 6.35 mm. All three are here.
Can I print it on A4?
The sheets are US Letter. A4 is slightly narrower and taller, so printing at 100% will simply crop a little from the right and leave a gap at the foot — the spacing itself stays correct, which is the part that matters.
What is isometric paper for?
Drawing three-dimensional objects without constructing perspective. It suits technical sketching, product design and any maths topic involving volume or nets, because every edge of a cube follows a line already on the page.
