What this is

Puzzle & Print makes printable word searches, mazes, bingo cards, math drills, multiplication, hundreds and place value charts, flash cards, word scrambles, criss-cross puzzles, crosswords, sudoku, word mazes, connect the dots pictures, graph paper, primary writing paper, tracing sheets for names, letters, numbers, lines and shapes, and cutting practice sheets, plus an activity book maker that puts several of them into one PDF. You choose the settings, the sheet is built in your browser, and you print it or download a PDF. There is no sign-up, no email required, and no watermark on anything you print. It is an independent project based in Canada, online since August 2026.

Every tool also comes with ready-made sheets, because a lot of the time you do not want to configure anything. You want a Halloween word search and you want it now.

Why it works this way

Most sites in this category make you create an account, or stamp a logo across the sheet, or generate the file on a server so that your word list passes through someone else’s computer. None of that is necessary, so none of it happens here.

Puzzles are generated entirely in your browser. When you type a spelling list or a set of guest names, that text stays on your device. It is never uploaded or logged, and it is kept between visits only if you turn on Remember my lists on this device, which holds your lists in your own browser. There is no copy of it with us to lose, sell, or be asked to hand over. You can verify this: load a tool page, disconnect from the internet, and it still works.

How it stays free

The site is to be funded by display advertising. No ads are shown yet, and when they are they will appear around the tools and never on the printed page or in the PDF. A sheet you print should not have someone else’s logo on it.

That is the whole arrangement. We are not building a free tier that gets worse over time to push you toward a paid one.

If a sheet saved you some time, you can leave a tip in the tip jar on Ko-fi. It is entirely optional and unlocks nothing: every tool works the same either way.

Who makes it

Puzzle & Print is a small independent project, not a company with a marketing department. It is built and maintained by one person who got tired of printable sites that were slower to use than just drawing a maze by hand.

If something prints wrong, if a puzzle looks broken, or if a word list is missing something obvious, that is worth telling us about. It usually gets fixed. Get in touch.

What changed recently

August 2026: the word scramble tool shipped, with themed pages for Christmas, Halloween, animals and space. The criss-cross puzzle maker got its own themed pages, six of them, each with four ready-made grids. Themed borders went live across every tool, so a Christmas sheet now looks like one. Bingo gained a fractions set and a word-count control, and every page picked up a save-to-Pinterest button.

October 2026: every themed page gained sections and questions of its own, and every claim on the site was checked against what the tools actually do. A word search no longer hides a short word wholly inside a longer one, math drill sheets line up their numbers and answer lines in columns, and the words you type on the homepage no longer travel to the maker in the page address. The sudoku maker arrived the same month, in 4x4, 6x6 and 9x9, with every puzzle checked for a single solution and graded by the logic it needs, followed by the word maze maker, which hides a word or message as the only path through a grid of letters. Then came the multiplication chart and hundreds chart makers, which print a filled chart for the wall or a desk, and blank and fill-in charts with their own answer keys; the crossword maker, which prints a clue for every answer under Across and Down; primary writing paper at the line heights schools use; a tracing maker for names, letters and numbers whose letters are drawn for the site, stroke by stroke, rather than taken from a font; and the flash card maker, which prints each card’s back beside its front so a sheet can be folded and cut on any printer. The place value chart maker came next, with charts from hundreds, tens and ones to billions and past the decimal point, and practice sheets that ask for numbers in the chart, in expanded form and in words; then the connect the dots maker, which numbers thirteen simple pictures by 1s, 2s, 5s or 10s or from A to Z; lines and shapes to trace before letters; and a Spanish word search that keeps á, é, í, ó, ú, ü and ñ in the grid.
